gift ideas?

Hi, dear Pisces. I should be grateful if you would answer two questions: what gifts do you prefer to get and what gifts do you hate? I need it for article Gift Ideas for Pisces. Thanx :)

I'd assume it depends on the person. Me, I hate getting anything that is green as I was born on St Patrick's Day. You'd be surprised at how sick you can get of green after 28 years of birthdays. Now my friends know better and get me something in blue :)

Any way maybe try books or blank journals. Maybe even candles.

i prefer to get sentimental type of gifts... things that i can see that a person put a lot of time to pick out the gift for me... hand made things, poetry, stuff like that.

i hate getting generic gifts though.. like hats, gloves, anything that lacks creativity or sentiment behind it...

don't get me wrong though, i also like to get practical things that i need and can use, but that goes back to gifts that are "for me" if the person knows me well enough, then they can see that i'm in need of a... hmmm... in need of a new ironing table or something.

the gifts i prefer are ones from the heart. the value is less important than the thought. seriously. something has, could, and will make memories.

does that make sense?

ones i hate? pointless ones, that were just gotten to fill a box with your name on it. stuff that youll look at in a couple weeks and think "where did that come from" or as much as i love money, it kinda sux as a gift < but dont tell anyone i said that > because you kinda tend to forget the origin. and unless youre behind on bills and completely broke, theres not really any thought in it. its easy.

Don't ever attempt to buy clothing for a fishy. We're very particular- picky as hell. It's about art, not having clothes on (I think we only bother with it at all because we're forced to).

Stay away from functional, utilitarian gifts- unless you know it's something the person in question really needs and would never buy themself.

You really want to impress a Pisces? Make something just for them. Something thoughtful and beautiful. Those are the kinds of gifts we tend to give, so we understand what goes into it and will just love you for it.

I second this whole-heartedly. People hate going with me to shop for shoes and clothes because I always find something wrong with everything. They know to let me pick out what I want and to have patience if they are with me.

i'm like that with shoes especially.. i refuse to wear any pair shoes that irritates my feet in any way. that's cool though, cuz the feet are our body part.

They say that the best gift for a pisces is CDs, and I know that is certainly true for me. As for gifts I hate...I dunno. I'm greatful whenever someone gives me something, but like ugly clothes or purses or cheap lotion is prolly my least fav. to get. NICE candles are really good too! I would also hate to get stuff about bands that I hate. =/

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that a lot of times, I just save the cards [especially hand written]. Or if the person does a silly drawing for me or something; I just love that! My friend always does all these funny drawings and notes, and that's my favorite part.

Handmade, sentimental, meaningful and thoughtful gifts are the best. Not very fond of impersonal gifts.

I usually ask for CDs, movies, and certain clothing items (but just like mentioned before, I also am picky about clothes, so I am usually around to pick these types of gifts out).

Practical gifts are much appreciated, but I'd be happier with a gift that has sentimental value, or one that took some consideration before the purchase/making. Astrological, artistic, and musical items usually warm my heart. I also like recieving personally crafted cards.

I think that I get very enthusiastic over any gift that seemed to have thought put into it; that is, either for its sentimental value, or for its practicality. This past Christmas, the gift I think I got most excited over from my family was the multitude of socks that I recieved, as I am somewhat broke and was in desperate need of new socks. As mundane a gift as they may be, it felt good to know that [for once, haha] my family had really paid attention to my needs and not just gone for the more generic, less than familiar gifts.

CDs are either the best gift ever, or the worst possible. I'm fairly picky about my choice in music- if someone gives me an album that I won't listen to, I get a little annoyed (I suppose that may be overreacting a bit). On the other hand, if I am given a CD that the giver knows I would appreciate having and listening to, I take that consideration to heart and love these types of gifts much more.

As other comments mention, personal cards are often the best part of a gift. I save these and go back to read them many times over, which preserves the memory of the person who wrote the card.

I hate getting clothing. I am picky like you would not believe!

I love to get anything revolving around music.
I also have artsy friends who paint me amazing things or make me fantastic necklaces and I really love that.
I also like getting cheap comfortable slippers, I wear them everytime over shoes!
